I began my career in 1983 as a drug counselor for adolescents at Ridgeview Institute, a private, not-for-profit provider of psychiatric and substance abuse treatment located in Smyrna, Georgia. From there I moved to Columbus, Ohio where I trained and worked in at Halterman Center, an inpatient and outpatient setting for codependency issues. In 1992 I completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Ohio State University.
When In 1997 I worked at Parkwood psychiatric hospital (now closed) and began my private practice in Atlanta. In 2014 I relocated my practice to Melbourne, Florida where I continue to provide limited community outreach services to qualified clients and in traditional office therapy along with telemental health services.
